Saving water in the shower...

Mar 19, 2009

It was something I always tried my best at doing, and it started with a Board of Water Supply commercial of someone "watering their driveway". Then by necessity I took cold showers backyard style for 10 years at my old house; turning the water off in between soaping up. So with my new place and warm showers (I could never get used to hot showers anymore-- also good for the environment) I continue the practice and malama da watah by using a low flow shower head and shut-off valve all which cost under $20. I'd love to see more of these items up front Point-Of-Sale (POS) at the register next to the hard shell covered candy and mint gum. The best part of this whole thing is I now like low flow showers and it's easy to do-- less than five minutes! Oh, don't forget the PTFE/Teflon tape (the white one) when installing your low flow setup. Aloha, -Kaimana

As one who is mechanically challenged, I have to say these are super easy to install! Nice photo by the way.
